Selecting markup

To select markup, choose the select tool from the Painting window's toolkit:

When markup is selected:

• A red box appears around a note.

• An arrow changes color to red:

Use any of the following techniques to select markup:

To select individual items of markup

• To select a note, click on it.

• To select an arrow, click on the arrow head (i.e the part of the arrow furthest away from the note).

To select more than one item of markup

• To select additional notes or arrows, press Shift and click.

• To select a note and all its connecting arrows, press Alt (to the left of the Spacebar) and click on the note.

• To select a group of notes or arrows, click and drag the mouse. A bounding box is drawn to indicate the area of selection. Release the mouse button. The notes and arrows enclosed by the bounding box are selected.
